Energy UK is the trade association for the UK energy industry representing over 90 suppliers and generators of electricity and gas for domestic and business consumers. Our members represent the truly diverse nature of the UK’s energy industry - from the UK’s largest energy firms to new, growing suppliers and generators, now making up over half of our membership.
We are an accredited London Living Wage Employer. This means that every member of staff in our organisation, including contractors, earns not just the minimum wage, but the Living Wage. Public Affairs Manager (European Affairs), London
It has never been such a pivotal time for European affairs as Brexit becomes a reality and the new European landscape that will follow is being shaped. Brexit poses a number of challenges and opportunities for the energy sector and we are looking for someone to work on behalf of our members to ensure the best outcome for the industry and, importantly, UK energy customers.
We are looking for an experienced Public Affairs Manager to lead this work. You be well acquainted with the main EU decision-makers on energy and have good knowledge of EU processes and institutions.
The European associations – Eurelectric and Eurogas - play a particularly important role in Brussels and maintaining a good relationship with them is a key element.
The post holder will lead Energy UK’s public affairs work on European issues liaising closely with our members, internal colleagues and key external stakeholders – from Government to our members.
