With the current freezing temperatures sweeping the country, the Home Heat Helpline is reminding anyone who is worried about staying warm that they can call 0800 33 66 99 to find out if they are entitled to help with their energy bills.
In response to Ofgem's publication of the independent report on energy companies' financial reporting from accounting firm BDO, Christine McGourty, Director of Energy UK, said:
On Friday 20 January, Home Heat Helpline advisors took part in a series of radio programmes in partnership with National Energy Action across the country giving advice on how to insulate your home and reduce your bills.
As part of Big Energy Week, people are being encouraged to insulate their homes and ensure they are on the best deal to help reduce their energy bills.
Big Energy Week is a very useful new way of reaching people who may need help this winter and Energy UK are pleased to be working closely with Citizens Advice Bureau and others to help make it a success. It will run all this week from Monday 16 January to Saturday 21 January.
