Our Culture
In line with our values, it’s important to us that Energy UK is an inclusive, collaborative and friendly place to work. We want our employees to enjoy coming to work and feel part of a team.
We listen to our staff and on top of our benefits package, we have the below initiatives in place.

Investors in People
We’re proud to have been awarded Gold Accreditation by Investors in People.
Our last survey showed that we have improved systems and processes enabling our people to learn, develop and succeed. We take action to incorporate openness, real support from leadership, trust and a willingness to communicate and involve all people at all levels within the organisation. Our people-first philosophy makes a positive and engaging culture.
Staff Working Group
The staff working group gives a voice to our employees. It aims to improve the operation and effectiveness of Energy UK through employee suggestions, consultation and involvement, making sure we are listening to our people at all levels.

Social Events
We have social secretaries who help to plan social events and other activities to encourage team building out of office hours.
Celebrating success
We make sure that successes are celebrated across the organisation through our Gold Star Applauds and by recognising “wins”.

In the office
Our hybrid working policy means people can work from home 2 – 3 days a week, but we have lots of reasons to come into the office with lunch clubs and a fully stocked kitchen including tea and coffee, breakfast cereals, oat milk, noodles and soup.
Climate Perks
Energy UK has proudly signed up to the Climate Perks Scheme, organised by the climate action charity, Possible. This means that our staff are eligible to claim 2 paid journey days on top of their annual leave if they travel by train, coach or boat instead of flying. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose a slower transport mode as annual leave is precious, and this policy helps to ensure that flight-free travel doesn’t eat into valuable holiday time.
