What we offer
As well as exciting and challenging work scope and a collaborative team, we offer a range of other benefits to ensure our staff are supported in their well-being and lives both in and outside of work.

Central London office
Our office is based on Cannon Street close to Cannon Street, Bank and Monument stations and provides staff with a friendly environment to work in with an open plan office to enable a collaborative working style. We operate a hot desking system and we have the following facilities in place:-
- Bookable desks all equipped with two screens, a stand/sit function and equipment to help you work
- Bookable booths for private calls and meetings, as well as two larger meeting rooms
- A collaboration area to encourage team working and an area for social activities during lunchtimes
- A range of lunch clubs
- Cycle storage and shower facilities with lockers

Hybrid and Flexible Working
We have a hybrid working policy, which allows employees to work from home for two or three days each week. We also offer core hours of 10am – 4pm so staff can flex their day around these core hours to encourage a balance between their work life and their home life.
All members of staff are welcome to apply for additional flexible working arrangements they might need from the first day of their employment.

Family Friendly Policies
We offer generous company enhanced policies for both maternity and paternity leave ensuring that parents are fully supported. Our flexible working arrangements also help all of our working parents.

Learning and Development
In order to help people progress we provide learning opportunities through standard training that we encourage our staff to attend, and a generous training budget for training that is specific to each role.
We also run many informal lunch and learn sessions on energy and non-energy related topics from both internal and external speakers. We also arrange many energy related site visits which all employees are welcome to join.

Holiday/Leave
As well as all staff receiving 25 days annual leave as a standard (pro-rata for part time workers) we are pleased to offer the following:-
- Staff can buy up to a maximum of 5 day’s leave per year.
- Birthday Leave – all staff receive an extra day off during their birthday month.
- Office Closure on Maundy Thursday.
- Extra leave over winter – our offices are closed between 25 – 31 December.
- Leave for charitable work – we support and encourage staff to carry out charitable work and employees can request to have one additional day’s leave to do this.
- Climate-friendly travel – staff are eligible to claim 2 paid journey days on top of their annual leave if they travel by train, coach or boat instead of flying.
- Extra leave for length of service with eligible staff receiving an extra days leave if they have been with us for over 5 years

Health and Wellbeing
We offer access to private medical insurance which also includes cashback facilities for dentist and opticians. For those do not have the health insurance, we also contribute to the cost of eye tests.
All staff have the ability to speak to professional counsellors through our Employee Assistance Programme which is available 365 days a year both for staff and their immediate family members. The service offers advice in many areas including family and relationship issues, financial wellbeing, legal information and support with bereavement, and has a number of online resources to help people manage sleep, anxiety, exercise and weight.
We have trained mental health first-aiders who staff can reach out to.

Travel
We offer a season ticket loan to help with the total cost of travel to and from work. This is provided interest free with Energy UK being reimbursed via monthly reductions from your salary.
We will cover the annual charge for new 16-25 and 26-30 railcards
We also operate a Cycle to work scheme and have secure bike storage and shower facilities in the building.

Loan for Tenancy Deposit
We also offer employees the option to take out an interest-free loan to pay for a tenancy deposit when you move into a new property.
