Information for customers

This page contains information for households (domestic customers). Information for businesses around non-domestic supply can be found here.

Please note that Energy UK is not an energy company, it is the trade association for the energy industry. We do not handle individual customer enquiries or complaints.

Emergency contacts

  • Gas emergencies

    Smell gas? Call 0800 111 999 immediately.

This number should only be used in emergencies, using it outside of an emergency could prevent other people from getting through.

Problem with your boiler or gas appliances? Call a Gas Safe Registered engineer, find one at gassaferegister.co.uk

  • Power cut?

    Call 105

It’s free and connects you to your local network company. If you’re in Northern Ireland, call 03457 643643. Or check if there is a power cut in your area on www.powercut105.com

If you’ve lost supply and believe it is related to your meter and not the network, contact your energy supplier.

Supporting customers

The Energy Networks Association (ENA) represents companies that are responsible for delivering power and gas to your home. You can find useful information for customers on how to prepare for this winter on the ENA’s Be Winter Ready pages.
