The voice of the energy industry

Equality and Diversity Forum

Energy UK’s Equality and Diversity Forum is a cross-industry committee looking to share experiences from all attendees and external organisations in a bid to drive forward best practice in equality and diversity across the sector. We anticipate that the group will be attended by organisations’ HR teams, internal network leads or equality and diversity leads.

Despite representing 619,000 jobs, five percent of GDP and over two percent of all jobs in the UK the energy industry had fallen behind other equivalent industries in key indices such as the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index. By sharing and embedding differing approaches to progressing equality and diversity policy across the spectrum we hope to rectify this

Membership of the group is open to all organisations and companies operating in the UK’s energy market. Those interested in hearing more about the Equality and Diversity Forum can sign up to the mailing list below or can contact the group’s chair, Joshua Atkins: This email address is being protected from spambots. Energy UK published a brochure highlighting some of the positive steps taken by the energy industry in equality, diversity and inclusion. Find the brochure here.
