Our Annual Lunch after Energy UK's AGM meeting last December saw the industry convene to discuss the most topical issues, as well as the opportunity to hear a keynote speech summarising the year that has happened and what the future might hold for the energy industry. It will be a fantastic opportunity to network with guests across the industry to discuss what has been an eventful year in the energy industry, from the dramatic rise of renewables to the ever changing retail market.
Professor Dieter Helm CBE, Professor at the University of Oxford and Fellow of New College in Oxford, talked about his recent Cost of Energy Review and themes, including the energy revolution, from his new book “Burn out: the endgame for fossil fuels."
We were also joined by the broadcaster and political pundit, Cathy Newman, who gave us her take on the current political scene in Westminster.
We were delighted to welcome our new Chairman, Rt Hon Lord John Hutton to Energy UK.
In 2018 the Annual Lunch will be held in December.
