Green Tariffs and Net Zero Choices for Consumers
Date: Thursday 20 May
Time: 09.30 - 10.30
The rules defining what is a ‘green’ tariff have been in place for over a decade. Green energy tariffs now represent over half of all new tariffs in the GB market. Customers, domestic and business alike, are more interested than ever in how they can help play their part in tackling the climate crisis. The current rules, however, allow a range of tariffs to be marked to consumers as green. In light of BEIS upcoming call for evidence, please join us for a panel discussion and Q&A considering:
- What do customers, domestic and non-domestic, expect from ‘Green’ tariffs’?
- Do the current rules need to be reformed?
- Looking forward, what is the role for Half Hourly Issuing, smarter data and traceability of generation sources?
- What about gas?
