Realising the consumer value of flexibility
On 6 September, Energy UK held a breakfast briefing in association with CGI UK at Elexon’s London office, on how industry can realise the value of flexibility for the consumer.
Energy UK’s policy manager Charles Wood, joined Laura Sandys and panellists from BEIS, CGI, Elexon and the ENA, in a discussion which touched upon the many consumer benefits of a smart flexible energy system.
Smart Metering and time of use tariffs, market access, industrial scale demand side response, smart networks and the Open networks project, and Dieter Helm’s review of the cost of energy were all subject to examination in this session chaired by CGI UK’s VP Digital Utilities Rich Hampshire.
We would like to thank CGI for their contribution.
