Energy UK responds to Citizens’ Climate Assembly interim briefing

Respnding to the interim briefing from the assembly “Covid-19, recovery and the path to net zero”, Energy UK’s interim CEO, Audrey Gallacher said:

“As today’s report highlights, we have an unprecedented opportunity to reshape our future and transform our entire economy and behaviours to meet our net-zero target and tackle climate change – while also delivering important benefits for jobs, infrastructure and the economic recovery. 

“As we have highlighted in our recent report, we must work in partnership with the Government to put in place the right policy framework and incentives to ensure our recovery is based around creating a clean, sustainable and resilient low carbon economy which delivers opportunities and benefits across the whole country.”
