Commenting on research by the NIA on the role of nuclear power in partnership with renewables to achieve net zero Energy UK’s chief executive, Emma Pinchbeck, said:
“Reaching net-zero emissions by 2050 will require a mix of low carbon technologies and further action across the UK and our whole economy. Nuclear power in partnership with renewables already deliver clean energy today in many regions and with the right investment, ambition and policy framework will help us deliver a green recovery and the growing green economy and skilled jobs we urgently need.”
