ENGIE signs up to the Energy Switch Guarantee

ENGIE has become the newest member of the Energy Switch Guarantee, an industry initiative to make switching simple, speedy and safe for consumers.

Consumers can continue to feel confident in switching to one of the signatories who have to report on their performance every quarter to show that they are compliant with the high standards of the Guarantee.

ENGIE is a leading energy and services Group employing 20,000 people in the UK across three main activities: services, energy solutions and energy infrastructure.

Pamela Taylor, Independent Chair of the Energy Switch Guarantee, said:

“We are delighted to welcome ENGIE on board. It is very important for the Guarantee to grow its membership to build consumers faith in switching energy suppliers. We’re considering how best to deliver value to consumers and will be looking at our mission, strategy and the guarantees members will provide consumers in the New Year.

“It only takes a few minutes to find out if you are on the best energy deal for you – either call your supplier or have a look online. With now over 70 suppliers in the energy market, there is more choice than ever before, and switching supplier can potentially save you hundreds of pounds. Consumers wanting a hassle-free switch should look out for the Energy Switch Guarantee logo and switch to one of our members.”

Paul Roberts, Managing Director of ENGIE Home Energy said:

“Becoming a signatory of the Energy Switch Guarantee demonstrates ENGIE’s commitment to delivering the best possible experience from the moment that a customer decides to join ENGIE. This same commitment applies to customers on all of our products; from good value energy tariffs and inclusive connected home devices to emerging technologies such as electric vehicle home charging solutions and energy data platforms. We have worked hard to achieve the high standards required of a signatory and look forward to a long term involvement in the scheme.”

Latest figures from Energy UK show that over 5.4 million customers have already switched to a new supplier this year – on track to break last year’s record numbers – when 5.5 million customers made a move.
