How does Britain become a clean energy superpower? The energy industry welcomes the ambition shown by the Government in its goal. In this report, we call for collaboration with the private sector to jointly deliver on the energy mission.
“The new Government has some really ambitious policies when it comes to the Net Zero economy – policies it hopes will drive down energy bills, bolster our energy security, and reduce emissions, all while securing the clean industries of the future. Now’s a really important moment to reflect on what the key policies could be to enable our Net Zero goals to be met.”
In this video, Energy UK’s Director of Policy Adam Berman explains the five priorities.
How is the Government delivering against our recommendations?
From accelerating clean energy goals to ensuring energy supplies are secure and bills affordable for customers, the Government’s plans to transform Britain into a clean energy superpower cover every area of the sector. We will regularly update our interactive Mission Possible tracker, highlighting where progress is made and what still needs to be done.
In our five-part podcast series, hosts Yumann Siddiq and Sandy Kelly joined Energy UK and industry expert guests to explore each of the five recommendations in our Mission Possible report and discuss what is needed to secure and sustain clean, affordable energy.
