In response to the Financial Conduct Authority and Ofgem finding no evidence of wholesale gas market manipulation Energy UK said:
“Energy UK and its members are pleased that the FCA and Ofgem have concluded that there is no evidence of market manipulation. When this problem first arose, our members put out statements confirming they were not involved.
In response to Which? research on consumer trust, Energy UK said:
"Rebuilding public trust in the market and improving customer service is incredibly important and high on each company’s agenda. Energy companies have been working hard on making energy bills clearer, making it simpler to switch between energy suppliers and reducing the number of tariffs, so people find the best deal for them.”
