Recent research from the Carbon Monoxide- Be Alarmed! campaign indicated that people still did not understand how audible alarms worked, where to install them or how to maintain them.

Switching reaches two year high

Over 400,000 customers have switched electricity supplier in October. This is the highest figure of switches in the past two years.

Three million customers have already switched in 2015. The latest electricity switching data also shows that around 310,000 people switch on average each month in 2015, well above the 250,000 average last year.

Home Heat Helpline backs Big Energy Saving Week

Home Heat Helpline is backing the fifth Big Energy Saving Week, which began on 26 October. The national campaign helps people cut their fuel bills and get all the financial support they are entitled to. Around 300,000 people are switching supplier each month showing customers are willing to shop around and find the best deal for them.  Switching is not the only thing people can do, there are also small things you can do around the house to save money on your energy bills:
