One million homes receive energy efficiency measures
One million UK homes have received energy efficiency measures thanks to the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and Green Deal. The energy industry has worked tirelessly to meet its obligations with 97% of home improvements being a result of ECO. The industry is committed to helping households improve their energy efficiency as a means of saving money and keeping warm.
Lawrence Slade, chief executive of Energy UK said:
“This is a notable milestone for ECO and it’s great to hear that one million households have been given help with their energy efficiency. Installing measures such as insulation and new boilers can save customers significant amounts of money. It is vital that households stay warm in the winter months and better energy efficiency can help them do this for a lower cost.
“There is lots of help available so customers should call up their supplier to see if their eligible for assistance.
