Energy UK comment on Ofgem changes to the Priority Service Register

Ofgem has announced changes to the Priority Services Register which will see more customers in vulnerable situations get extra help. Energy UK has commented on the changes.

Lawrence Slade, chief executive of Energy UK said:

“Energy suppliers take their responsibility for all customers extremely seriously. There is plenty of help available ranging from energy efficiency measures, bill rebates and trust funds to help those in debt. The changes to the Priority Service Register means even more people will get the extra support they need. Suppliers are now even more sensitive to a person’s individual circumstances. This is a big step forward.”
