Energy UK echoes European associations concerns over no-deal
European associations sent a letter out today calling for a no-deal Brexit to be avoided, in response Energy UK issued the statement below.
Lawrence Slade, chief executive of Energy UK, said:
“We support the letter sent out by European associations today and we echo their serious concerns over the impact of a no-deal Brexit. It is vital for all that energy companies will continue to operate in a smooth-functioning environment that promotes the efficient flow of gas and electricity in order to keep bills down for UK customers and businesses. With just 18 days to go, we will continue to work with the Government to ensure the best Brexit deal for the energy sector, its customers and the wider economy.”
