Energy UK comments on the final report from the Commission for Customers in Vulnerable Circumstances
Commenting on the final report published by the Commission for Customers in Vulnerable Circumstances today, Energy UK's chief executive, Lawrence Slade said:
“I am grateful to Lord Whitty and the Commissioners for all their hard work and for publishing such a valuable, wide-ranging and thought-provoking report on what is an important and complex issue.
“The report represents the culmination of over a year’s worth of evidence gathering, research and roundtables and we will now look at their recommendations in-depth.
“Our sector is genuinely committed to going further to improve services for all customers, particularly those in the most vulnerable circumstances, which is why we established this independently-Chaired Commission and we have already committed to bringing forward a new Vulnerability Charter, that we’ll be drawing up in coming months, to build on this report and existing voluntary initiatives.”
