Energy Switch Guarantee responds to Citizens Advice star ratings
Following Citizens Advice’s publication of its latest energy star rating table , the Energy Switch Guarantee issued the below statement.
An Energy Switch Guarantee spokesperson said:
“In a competitive market, good customer service can be just as important as price for many customers who may well look at these ratings when choosing their energy supplier.
“Today’s ratings, which measure factors like complaint numbers, call waiting times and ease of switching show that 7 out of the top 10 are members of the Energy Switch Guarantee, a voluntary industry initiative to make switching simple, speedy and safe for consumers. With half a million customers on average switching electricity supplier every month and with – as today’s Energy UK’s figures show – over 4 million having already switched supplier so far in 2019, getting this right is clearly important for both suppliers and customers.”
“I’d encourage all consumers not only to shop around for a better deal but also make sure their new supplier is signed up to the Energy Switch Guarantee which will give them extra peace of mind when it comes to switching”
