Energy UK comments on the Environmental Audit Committee’s ‘Growing Back Better’ report

Commenting on the Environmental Audit Committee’s ‘Growing Back Better’ report Energy UK’s Chief Executive, Emma Pinchbeck, said:

“The Committee’s report recommends that the Government should be using the Budget to help improve the energy efficiency of homes and businesses, and the decarbonisation of transport, aims which are also in the Government’s own Energy White Paper and the Prime Minister’s 10 Point Plan for achieving Net Zero.

“Many of the Committee’s recommendations are in line with our own asks of the Treasury, such as providing a long-term framework for supporting energy efficiency, and using the tax system to encourage uptake of energy efficiency products and other technologies that will help households reduce carbon emissions and save money”
