Responding to news that GE Renewable Energy is to build a new offshore wind turbine factory in Teesside, Energy UK’s chief executive Emma Pinchbeck said:
“This is fantastic news and shows how a Green-led Recovery and the drive to meet Net Zero continues to create jobs and investment in regions right across the country. The expansion of our offshore wind capacity and the development of other low carbon technologies can provide many more such opportunities bringing widespread economic and environmental benefits, if the right plans and policies are in place.”
