In response to Government’s announcement on improved benefits to be offered to communities backing onshore wind farms, Aradhna Tandon said:
“Onshore wind is cheap, fast to build and has huge public support. We’re pleased to see the Government commit to exploring how to build more and ensure that local communities will receive many different local benefits for hosting nationally important infrastructure. The price of energy affects the whole economy and we need to do all we can to bring down bills for households and businesses. This could be an important next step of bringing more cheap onshore wind online.”
