Energy UK's response to Which? Consumer Trust Survey
In response to Which?'s survey on the consumer trust in energy companies, Energy UK said:
"Which? should be directing this issue to the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA). The CMA has been set up for this purpose so that independent expert analysis and recommendations can be made, with conclusions that people know they can trust. Green costs, welfare costs, the wires and the pipes to get the electricity and gas to homes all ends up on the bill sent out by the supplier - but are not set by them.
“Suppliers have simplified bills and made tariffs easier to compare. The industry is a on track to halve the time it takes to switch supplier by the end of the year and more and more smaller companies are entering the market, so there is plenty to choose from."
