Energy UK response to Capacity Market auction provisional results
Following the announcement of the Capacity Market auction results, where the latest T-4 Capacity Market auction saw 52,425.302 MW of Capacity Agreements being awarded at a clearing of £22.50. Energy UK has issued the following statement.
Lawrence Slade, chief executive of Energy UK said:
“The Capacity Market auction will provide security of supply with the right, diverse mix of generation for the future. A growth in battery storage and demand side response is evidence of a dynamic, investable energy system. Most importantly, this auctions means existing projects will be taken forward at the best value for consumers.”
