Engaging in Brussels, the energy agenda
With European issues high on the agenda at home and abroad, Energy UK are off to Brussels to host our second annual Brussels Reception on Monday 15 June. We look forward to hearing from Dominique Ristori and Theresa Griffin MEP on what the coming months hold for the energy sector in Europe.
The 2030 Climate and Energy Framework has now taken shape and the recent Energy Union Communication sets out a clear set of priorities for the Commission with regard to energy. With these key dossiers and others progressing through the European institutions as well as the UK Government seeking a renegotiation of powers at the European level, the UK’s engagement has never been more critical.
We have a raft of MEPs working away in the Parliament to represent the interests of the UK’s businesses and consumers and a very active diplomatic community busy behind the scenes. The energy industry is also playing its part in informing the policymaking process and Energy UK looks forward to welcoming industry leaders and political stakeholders for a convivial evening of networking and discussion.
