Energy UK’s Annual Conference takes place tomorrow (Tuesday 14 October 2025) at One Great George Street, Westminster, SW1P 3AA.
Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Claire Coutinho, Shadow Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, and Ed Davey, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, will all address the conference. The full programme for the event, which is sponsored by E.ON Next, can be found here and while it is now sold out, online tickets are still available.
Energy UK’s chief executive Dhara Vyas will open the Conference with a speech acknowledging the ongoing debate around the move to clean energy but stressing that the goals – like energy independence, stable bills and the economic benefits from embracing new and growing technologies – are as valid as ever and underline the importance of supporting investment in the country’s future.
She will again urge Government action to bring down bills for households and businesses in the meantime and on that note, Energy UK will also tomorrow launch a scorecard measuring progress with its recommendations for doing so. Dhara’s full speech will be available on our website tomorrow morning.

Notes to editors
- Energy UK is the trade association for the energy industry, representing companies investing billions of pounds to secure our country’s current and future energy needs. From growing start-ups to major electricity generators, grid and infrastructure developers and energy suppliers, our members are driving change across power, heat, transport and flexibility. We champion initiatives such as our Vulnerability Commitment, which pushes suppliers to go beyond regulation to support customers with additional needs, and TIDE, the industry’s drive for greater inclusion and diversity. Through our Young Energy Professionals Forum, with more than 3,000 members representing 350 organisations, we support the development of future leaders.
- Bringing down the cost of energy bills is a critical part of a fair energy transition and Energy UK has launched a campaign, #BringDownBills, setting out solutions to achieving significant bill savings over the next five years by reducing our reliance on international gas prices, accelerating connections and removing policy costs from electricity bills. Energy UK and its members are committed to bringing down bills and our analysis shows up to £400 in savings per household could be achieved from our recommendations.
