Responding to publication of the budget for Contract for Difference (CfD) AR7a (non-offshore wind technologies), Energy UK’s Director of Policy and Advocacy Adam Berman said:
“This marks a positive step towards a clean, secure, diverse future energy system. The competitive CfD process remains the best mechanism to deliver British renewable energy capacity at the lowest possible cost.
“This announcement will provide investors with the confidence to continue committing millions of pounds every day to invest in technologies such as onshore wind and solar, to secure our country’s energy future and shield households and businesses from price volatility in the years ahead.”
