This one-day intermediate training course will provide an overview of the way electricity, gas and carbon are traded in GB and across borders to/from neighbouring markets, while touching on the way that these have changed following the UK’s departure from the EU’s internal energy market.

- Those who want to deepen their understanding of future trading arrangements and market developments following Brexit.

- Develop an understanding of how energy is traded in Great Britain and across international borders.
- Explore how energy is traded across different timeframes, including forward, day‑ahead, intraday, and balancing markets.
- Gain insight into GB energy trading practices and the role of emissions trading.
- Understand the relationship between the EU and UK Emissions Trading Systems (ETS).
- Gain an overview of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and its implications.
- Examine potential future developments in cross‑border energy trading.
