Energy UK’s Lightning Bolt Talks evening, sponsored by Engage, will bring together people from the worlds of energy, policy, and beyond to share exciting and innovative ways of using data to understand, explain and improve energy in the UK.

Jade Edwards
Head of Insights, ZapmapJade Edwards is Head of Insights at Zapmap. She joined Zapmap in April 2022, bringing with her more than 10 years’ experience in the data and insights industry. It is Jade’s role to look at the data sitting behind the Zapmap app, explore how to put it to best use, and identify channels through which to share it with the wider industry, government and media.
Before joining Zapmap, Jade worked across a range of roles and variously led operations, product and sales teams. As the leading source of EV charging data and insights, Jade’s Insights team now provides unrivalled data and expert analysis into the shape and usage of EV charging infrastructure, as well as the attitudes and behaviours of EV drivers.

With 10 years’ experience in the Energy Sector and Energy Infrastructure market—covering energy data, flexibility, and smart metering—Tom brings deep expertise to the challenge of transforming how the UK engages with energy.
In 2025, he led Metis through a landmark year, launching innovative models that make low-carbon upgrades accessible to all. Under his leadership, Metis delivered a fully funded, area-wide retrofit programme in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council, achieving industry-leading engagement, exceptional customer satisfaction, and direct savings for thousands of households.
