Responding to the Scottish Budget announcement, Energy UK’s Deputy Director (Retail), Dan Alchin, said:
‘Decarbonising the heating of our homes will be one of the biggest challenges in achieving net zero. The Scottish Government’s leadership on addressing this challenge, alongside increasing investment in improving the energy efficiency of properties, is another step forward in preparing Scotland to be net zero by 2045. Energy UK and our members will continue to be at the forefront of rollmg out technologies and options for low carbon heat, and delivering energy efficiency measures. We look forward to working with the Scottish Government in developing comprehensive plans that keep bills down for customers while reducing carbon emissions’.
