Energy UK response to National Planning Policy Framework: proposed reforms and other changes to the planning system

Publications Headers Consultation response2

The proposed changes in the National Planning Policy Framework are to be welcomed, as they will strengthen both the planning system more broadly and aid the energy transition. It is also symptomatic of a rapidly changing environment for infrastructure, with policies such as the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan and the rapid deployment of data centres meaning policy must be agile in responding to these changes.

If you would like to discuss this response in further detail with Energy UK and its members, we would welcome further engagement.
