Commenting on the Carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS): business models consultation outcome published by BEIS today, Energy UK’s Chief Executive, Emma Pinchbeck, said:
“The deployment of Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage (CCUS) and low-carbon hydrogen are crucial to reaching net-zero emissions across the economy by 2050. There is a genuine opportunity for the UK to lead the world in the development of these technologies.
“We welcome the 2020/21 delivery action plan because early action on CCUS will be critical to realising the operational delivery of the UK’s first clusters within the decade.”
