The energy industry is once again being invited to recognise its up-and-coming talent as the Young Energy Professionals (YEP) Awards 2023, now in their ninth year, open for nominations.
The YEP Awards are the UK’s leading ceremony highlighting the contribution of early careers professionals in the energy industry, celebrating achievements and identifying potential from those with less than ten years’ experience in the sector.
As is traditional, the awards will be judged by industry experts with seven categories this year ranging from Consumer Champion to Rising Star. These include a brand new category – Innovator of the Year – which will recognise those who have challenged the status quo within their field and thought creatively about how to solve some of the issues facing the energy industry.
Candidates driving change in any of the categories below can either nominate themselves or be put forward by someone else.
The award categories for 2023 year are:
- Customer Champion
- Diversity & Inclusion Focus
- Rising Star
- Audrey Gallacher Award for Excellence
- Team of the Year
- YEP of the Year
- Innovator of the Year
The deadline for applications and nominations is Thursday 7 September and the subsequent shortlist will be published on the Energy UK website in early October.
You can also get tickets for the YEP Awards 2023 ceremony on Thursday 16 November here.
Phil McNally, Chair of the Young Energy Professionals Forum:
“The YEP Awards is an event dedicated to recognising the outstanding contribution and achievements of young professionals in the energy sector. It’s always a fantastic evening bringing together sector leaders and rising stars. I’d encourage everyone to apply or nominate a colleague, and please do join us in November to celebrate another year of excellence across the energy industry.”
